FAQs

  • TreeNet installations start at $25K and range up to hundreds of thousands with growing size and complexity. These are custom hand-woven nets intended for long-term use, so projects are quoted based on variables like location, number of nets, travel, accommodations, and how long the installation is expected to take.

  • TreeNets are not just for trees!

We've installed TreeNets all over the world, from backyards to music festivals to Silicon Valley companies and Airbnb's & resorts in places like Bali & Iceland.

Have a question about your project? We're happy to give you a quote no matter what it is, but keep in mind that we have a $25K minimum for private TreeNets and $75K minimum for commercial net installations.

  • If you have an idea for a TreeNet project, we have a contact form where you can give us the details of your project, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!

Due to the fact that we're traveling 24/7, this is the best method to contact us. Or email us at treenetwillys@gmail.com

  • Our nets are made of incredibly strong materials that flow and coexist with the environment. Each paracord string holds 550 lbs, while the climbing rope (used for the perimeter and interior frames) holds thousands of pounds. When they're woven together, there's no concern for a maximum person weight limit.

The thing we always say is the net is as strong as what it's attached to, whether that be trees, rocks, or man-made structures.

The main concern is the trees or structures used as anchors. So long as the anchors are strong, the TreeNet will be able to perform properly. We also like to add backrests and side walls to help keep everyone safe.

  • We do our best to have zero to minimal damage to the environment. Occasionally we use hardware, but we pride ourselves on the fact that we can remove these structures many years later with no sign of them being there. Our main concern is to avoid strangulation to allow water and nutrients to easily flow. We typically use wooden blocks between the rope and the tree to prevent girdling.

  • Nope! Lately, we've been expanding into large-scale commercial construction projects and fine art pieces, so there is no limit to what we can do with nets.

When we use structures for our frames, we attach the nets to pre-existing infrastructure such as porches or buildings. Even if you have an open loft or inside space that needs to be filled, we can build you a custom hangout.

  • There are a lot of factors to consider, but on average, private installations last 6-8 years. That being said, they can be maintained to last much longer. We've had nets last for over a decade and longer.

On a commercial scale, the installation will last 3-5 years on average depending on how many people are using the nets per day.

The main factor to consider is UV/sunlight, so keep that in mind when picking a location.

  • The TreeNets are hand-woven nets made of static rope and 550 parachute cord.

  • We are based out of southwest Colorado but we travel across the US and internationally full-time for installation projects.

  • TreeNet Willy's nets are one-of-a-kind and internationally recognized, so at this point, we have chosen not to share our artistic methods. If you have a quick question, we may be able to help, but we do not give out step-by-steps.

  • As much as we would love to give more people an opportunity to work on these one-of-a-kind nets, at this point, TreeNet Willy only travels with small, well-trained teams for installations.

As projects get bigger, we may expand the team, so keep an eye on our Instagram for any hiring announcements.

  • Our main goal is to keep you happy and make sure our quality of work goes above your expectations. We do have a liability form that must be signed which states that we are not responsible for free maintenance due to overall use, weathering, animals, or unforeseen natural events.

However, we have great relationships with our clients and make an effort to get out there for major repairs on a case-by-case basis to keep this thing going as long as we can.
